Nigerian Army Repel Boko Haram Attack, Denies Terrorist Have Taken Over Borno Village The Nigerian Army has revealed that its men, yesterday, engaged in a battle with Boko Haram terrorists who attacked a village in Borno state. According to a statement by Col. S.K Usman, the Acting Director Army Public Relations, suspected elements of Boko Haram terrorists, scavenging for food, attacked Kwang village yesterday at about 5pm. Vigilantes from Dagu (which is about 4 kilometres from Kwang), responded and repelled the terrorists attack. During the fire fight that ensued, one of the vigilantes sustained gun shot wound on his hand and was evacuated to General Hospital Uba while the terrorists fled with gun shot wounds. “Troops were eventually despatched to the area with clear orders to pursue and deal with the terrorists. ‘I Never Said Buhari Begged Me To Make Him President’ – Bola Tinubu National leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has denied reports that he slammed and ‘bombed’ President Muhammadu Buhari. The reports followed the controversy involving Tinubu and the leadership of the party where he demanded for the resignation of National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun. Tinubu was quoted to have made some remarks about Buhari, including that the latter begged him to emerge president in 2015. In a statement by the Tinubu Media Office, Jagaban as fondly called, stated that the story was concocted by political enemies.
