Photos & Video: Moment Sudanese refugee drops to the floor at Texas Airport after emotional reunion with his family A Sudanese refugee was finally reunited with his wife and kids at a Texas airport after almost 5 years since they fled war-torn Sudan for the US. In 2012, his then pregnant wife arrived in Forth Worth, Texas, with their two small children. Dyan couldn’t make the trip as he was unable to leave the refugee camp because they had lost their marriage papers while fleeing Sudan. They had to find a way to prove they were legally married and that the children were indeed his. He feared he would never see his family again but four long years later, Dyan finally resolved the issue and was cleared for travel to America and see his wife and children, including meeting his now three-year-old son. Oba Akiolu advocates grassroots health policy Oba Rilwan Akiolu The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu has called on medical professionals in Nigeria to look into the health condition of the down trodden. Making the call during the official commissioning of Nigeria’s first General Electric 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging, MRI, facility promoted by the Reddington Hospital in Lagos, Akiolu who hailed the feat, however said there was urgent need to address health needs at the grassroots. “The downtrodden in our society is really suffering. Before you can come to this hospital your pockets must be full. All the top doctors need to come together, the state of our Primary Health Care, PHC, needs to be addressed, what we need to do is set up a PHC that is properly furnished and manned by qualified doctors. Nigerian footballer cycles 64 miles balancing football on his head to break Guiness World Record (Photos/Video) A local Nigerian footballer Harrison Chinedu, remarkably broke the Guiness World record of cycling for 64 miles with a football balanced on his head. Wearing the Super Eagles jersey, Chinedu rode his bicycle with a ball on his head from the beach to the National stadium, Surulere, while fans, drivers and passers by, sang and cheered him on as he attempted the bizarre feat.  According to Chinedu, he had tried the feat in March this year but failed when he reached 30 miles, but after several rehearsals and training, made up his mind to carry out the feat again. After the feat, he said:  “My biggest motivation was that I believe in showcasing my God-given talent. I know I have the skill and I want to show the world what I can do. This one is a record created by me and I am happy that I have done my own side. And it's left for the Guinness World Records

APC Chairman in Ogun state dies at 79 The Ogun state chairman of All Progressives Congress, Roqeeb Adeniji, has died. According to family sources, the politician who was fondly called ‘Baba Computer’ died yesterday night after a brief illness. He was being rushed to the hospital when he died. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Kris Jenner stuns at charity event where late ex husband, Robert Kardashian was honoured (Photos) Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner also attended the Angel Ball hosted by Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research, where her late ex husband, Robert Kardashian, who died of esophageal cancer in 2003, was being honored. The 61-year-old reality star who attended the star-studded event in New York with her children and younger boyfriend Corey Gamble, wore a black gown featuring see through sheer paneling and an intricate design all over it and accessorized with diamond earrings. Toyin Aimakhu's ex-boyfriend, Seun Egbegbe, allegedly arrested for stealing iphones at computer village This story has been trending for a while on Nigerian social media and it could either be true or false. Actress, Toyin Aimakhu's ex-boyfriend, Seun Egbegbe was today allegedly arrested at Computer village for allegedly stealing 9 iPhones. According to reports, Seun this morning went into a phone shop pretending that he wanted to buy a phone. He asked the salesgirl to bring out two iPhone 7 and five iPhone 6+. He carried the phones and told the sales representative that he was coming back. He then crossed the road and entered into a waiting taxi. The sales representative who claimed she was hypnotized, said she came back to her senses and raised an alarm. They chased after Seun and caught up with him. He was beaten up by angry traders and then handed over to the police. We can't confirm that this really happened. But more on this later

Photo: Nigerian man shot dead in the US Cyril Efobi, a Nigerian man who works as a taxi driver in North Carolina US, was shot dead by an unknown gunman on November 8th. Cyril who moved from Nigeria to the US over 30 years ago, had on the day he was killed, closed early in the evening in order to go home and watch the US presidential election.  After exchanging banters with some colleagues, he packed up his laptop and stepped out of the office. A few minutes later, one of his colleagues heard gunshots outside the building. The police was called in and Cyril's body was found lying just by the door. He had died from gunshot wounds.  He was 56. The police is yet to make any arrest. The surveillance camera however caught the alleged gunman during and after the attack. Cyril moved from Nigeria to Raleigh about 30 years ago to further his education. A graduate of Shaw University, Cyril made Raleigh his permanent home after his studies. Nigerian Army denies killing kidnapped pastor during a raid at militants hideout in Rivers State The Nigerian Army on Monday denied Premium Times report that it killed pastor Andrew Anthony in Rivers State. According to a Premium Times’ story, the founder of Ambassadors Glory Churches International in Port Harcourt was killed in late August when soldiers raided a hideout of militants ahead of the formal launch of 'Operation Crocodile Smile' in Niger State. The clergyman was abducted by gunmen outside his home at Ada George Road in Port Harcourt on August 18th. It alleged that that the Army knew the deceased was a kidnapped victim yet circulated his photos to the media as one of the top militants in the area. Below is a statement issued on Monday, November 22, by Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Photos: Thugs allegedly attack protesters of 'bogus' pension package for former governor Oshiomhole Edo civil society organizations and youths in the three senatorial districts embarked on a protest today against the bill for amendment for bogus pension for ex Governors and Deputies. The Edo State House of Assembly had passed an amendment to the Law for Pension Rights which now stipulates the state builds a house worth  N200 million for the former governor Adams Oshiomhole and another worth N100 million for his deputy, Dr. Pius Odubu, as part of their retirement package.   The bill also provides that the buildings could be sited in any location of their choice. A Facebook user Osazee posted photos of bloodied protesters, alleging that they were attacked by thugs mobilized by the state government. More photos below...

Drake takes to Twitter to mock Kanye West who is having a mental breakdown According to multiple reports, Kanye West is having a mental breakdown. He even cancelled the second leg of “The Pablo tour” in order to go for mental evaluation. While you would expect colleagues to stand by Kanye during his difficult time, rapper Drake is not having any of that. He instead took to his Twitter page to mock “Yeezy” for crying and not having a “hit” to the surprise of fans. [Breaking news] Tekno finally signs Sony Music Deal Triple MG star Tekno has finally signed a music deal with Sony Music entertainment. Foremost music promoter and CEO of Fuse Nigeria, Paul Okeugo took to his Instagram to share a video of himself, Tekno and MMMG boss Ubi Franklin signing the deal. Details about the deal are yet unknown but we will let you know once we are in the know. Tekno joins 3 other Nigerian acts under the Sony Music family. Meet the winners of the 2016 edition of the American Music Awards The 2016 edition of the American music awards took place on Sunday, 20th November at the Microsoft theatre in Los Angeles, California. The event, hosted by top model Jigi Hadid and rapper/actor/comedian Jay Pharoah saw performances from Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd. Drake, who led the pack with 13 nominations, went home with 2 awards and had his dad as his date for the night. There were several highpoints at the event notable among them Selena Gomez tearful and emotional speech after she won the pop/rock female artiste of the year.
