Photo: Three suspected internet fraudsters arrested in Ibadan The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three internet fraudsters, who had allegedly been using 'charms' to hypnotize victims into parting with their money and valuable properties. The Command's spokesperson, SP Adekunle Ajisebutu,who confirmed the arrest in a statement made available to journalists said the suspects, Lanre,26, Sukanmi,28 and 26-year-old Opeyemi were picked up from their hideout at Soka area, Ibadan, at about  6.30 a.m.  on Wednesday, November 16, following a tip-off.   "The suspects who had been elusive for some time now, were eventually arrested after several days of intelligence gathering and painstaking investigation carried out by the police," said the PPRO.  "During interrogation, the suspects confessed to being internet fraudsters and had defrauded many innocent victims they referred to as ‘clients’ of their hard-earned money in Naira and foreign curre

Nigerian student jailed in the UK after brave victim recorded him as he sexually ssaulted her 27 year old Peter Odukoya, a Computer science undergraduate in the UK, has been convicted by a UK court after it heard an audio of a 20 year old woman he sexually assaulted. In the audio which was played in the court by the prosecution, the woman was heard pleading with him as he assaulted her "I don't want this. I'm very drunk". Odukoya had on the day he attacked the lady, met her at a night out with some of his friends. He offered to give her a lift which she accepted. Odukoya then dropped off his other friends at their homes before heading back to his flat with his victim who was already drunk.  According to express.co.uk, his victim's "instincts kicked in" in the car and she turned on her phone's recording app which recorded her saying "Please, I have a boyfriend. Nigerian doctor, Bennet Omalu, who discovered CTE in NFL players gets American Medical Association highest honor Dr. Bennet Omalu, the Nigerian forensic neuropathologist who first discovered Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in an NFL player in 2002, has been honoured with the American Medical Association (AMA) Distinguished Service Award during the opening session of the 2016 AMA Interim Meeting in Orlanda, Fla. on Saturday, November 12th. EFCC arraigns husband and wife for N120 million fraud The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today, November 16, 2016 arraigned the duo of Austine Chidiebere Ezeama and Juliet Ezeama (Husband and wife) before Justice O. H. Oshodi of the Lagos State High Court Ikeja, on a seven count charge of conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence. According to a statement released Wednesday by the agency, one of the count against the accused read: "Augustine Chidiebere Ezeama, Juliet Ezeama and Mabrubeni Nigeria Limited, on or about the 6th day of May, 2015 at Lagos within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of $30,570 (Thirty Thousand Five Hundred and Seventy US Dollars) from CIFERCOM LLC under the false Pretence that the money was for registration of CIFERCOM LLC as a company in Nigeria, preparatory to the award of $8 million (Eight million US Dollars) contract to CIFERCOM LLC by the Federal Government of Nigeria,

Ex Minister of National planning, Rasheed Gbadamosi, dies at 72 Former Minister of National Planning, Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi, has died. He died at his home in Ikorodu, Lagos state yesterday November 16th. He will be buried today according to Islamic rites. Before his death, he was the co-chairman of Lagos @50 Organising Committee. He is survived by wife and children. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Omarion's baby mama Apryl Jones rumoured to be dating his friend, The Game Singer Omarion and his girlfriend Apryl Jones broke up just 4 months after welcoming their second child together. A just last week, it was reported that Omarion recorded a diss track against Apryl. Apryl who hasn't reacted to the diss track, shared a video of herself and her friends partying at rapper The Game's mansion on Monday night. Many of the girls, including Apryl, stayed late into the evening and someone later commented on Twitter that Apryl spent many hours alone with the Game and didn't leave till the next morning.
