Patients forced to sleep next to a corpse for 8 hours in Kenya Patients of a Hospital in Rongo sub-county, Kenya were horrified after they had to sleep next to a corpse for eight hours. After the patient who was brought into the hospital critically ill died around midnight on Thursday, his corpse was not removed until the next day.by 4:00pm. His relatives couldn't be identified and this made matters worse. Speaking to Standard News, the patients and families recounted their fears throughout the night; “We were not at ease in this room where the person died. My cousin was visibly shaken and traumatized because the body was in the bed immediately next to his,” Peter Owino, a relative to one of the patients said The hospital administration has blamed the lack of National mortuaries in the area for the ordeal. Facebook apologizes after it gets slammed for removing photo of firefighter with severe burns A Swedish firefighter Lasse Gustavson, who has lived with severe burns on his face for almost 35 years, has received an apology from Facebook after they deleted a photo he shared on the social networking site. Gustavson, who recently turned 60, shared a photo to celebrate his birthday & his friend,  Lindeblad reposted the photo, which was immediately taken down by Facebook's policy monitoring team. The picture was posted again and in minutes got 200 likes, Facebook took down the photo again and upon his third attempt to upload the photo, he explained his ordeal of how Facebook took down his photo, it was shared more than 30,000 times  in three days , an action he described to CNN as a form of "public protest." Exam candidate is rushed to the hospital after pills to ‘Boost Brain Capacity’ backfires A KSCE candidate of Kiraanga Secondary School in Kandara, Murang’a County in Kenya was on Monday morning rushed to the hospital after taking an enhancement drugs to 'boost' his brain capacity during the examination. According to Nairobi News report, the deputy principal Jonathan Kibe told the police officers, that the Four Four student took the drug known as ‘Heridol’ with other students who were luckily not affected. 'Their intention was to enhance their brain capacity in order to pass the KCSE examination. He got unconscious and has been rushed to Kandara Sub County Hospital for treatment and he is due to take his examination at the same facility.’

Troops seize illegal bunkering equipment in Delta State Troops of Sector 1, from Burutu LGA of Delta State, known as ‘Operation Delta Safe’ have seized some illegal bunkering equipment along Chanomi North bank pipeline of the area. According to Channels, the seizure was made during operations within the area by the troops where items such as; welding machine, two inserted valves, two shovels, two filing machines, two packets of electrolyte, one hose, bolts, nuts of various sizes and a pumping machine, were recovered from the perpetrators. The troops while on patrol along the Rumuekpe area, also discovered militants and kidnappers camp. A statement by the 'Operation Delta Safe' confirmed that operations of the troops within the Niger Delta region saw to the dismantling of the camp. Ex-NSA Sambo Dasuki's father dies at 93 Former Sultan of Sokoto and father of embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki, has died. He was 93 years old. The former monarch died at a hospital in Abuja yesterday Monday November 14th. The late Sultan was deposed in 1996 by the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, after he was installed by Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, in 1988. He ruled for eight years before his deposition and banishment to Zing, in Taraba State. He will be buried today according to Islamic rites. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.
