Wole Soyinka Should Tear His Green Card Quickly-Femi Kuti Says Femi Kuti, son of music Legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has reacted to the statement made by Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka about tearing his green card if Donald Trump’s emerge president of the United States of America (USA). It will be recalled that the literary icon, Wole Soyinka, pledged to keep the promise, which he made few days before the November 8 election, when he told students at Oxford University that he will cut his green card and start packing up if Trump wins the polls. Femi Kuti speaking concerning Soyinka’s ‘Green Card tearing ceremony’ said: “He should quickly tear it. My question is why does he have a green card in the first place? Africa is so beautiful, look at our landscape; there is so much to see in Africa.” The music legend added that he wonders why most Nigerians took the American elections so personal, as he felt the outcome doesn’t really affect him or any average Nigerian.

Ms Kedike, Chidinma’s Local Hairstyle Now Trending (Photos) Popular Nigerian musician Chidinma a.k.a Ms. Kedike appears to have have set a new trend for her fans to follow by re-introducing an old hairstyle. Instead of the popular trend of using synthetic and Brazilian weaves, wigs, and braids favored by women in this age, Ms. Kedike chose to go the throwback route by using thread to make her hair just like our grandmothers did in times past. Police destroy Indian hemp farms in Osun, arrest 4 suspects (Photo) Osun State Police Command has destroyed a large expanse of Indian hemp farms at Agbongbon village in Irewole LGA of Osun state and arrested four suspects. According to a report made available to press men Friday, the Commissioner of Police Osun, CP Fimihan Adeoye, said that the operation of the officers was aimed at discontinuing the supply of Indian hemp in the area so as to prevent youths from smoking weeds and possibly curtail crime situations as a result. The state’s Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP Aminu K Koji, led the operation in which the Indian hemp farms were destroyed. The officers destroyed the hemps with herbicides while the dried ones that were ready for sale were burnt. He said: “We have declared a total war against Indian hemp cultivation and supply in Osun State. This is necessary to prevent youths from getting the weeds to smoke and this strategy was designed to nip the crime in the bud

Exclusive pics: Lady dies after rescuers cut off her legs trapped under a trailer following horrific accident This extremely sad incident happened this morning at Mile 2 junction Lagos. A lady's legs were crushed when a container fell on her as she was about boarding a bike on the road. According to a LIB eye witness, the bike man managed to escape but the lady tripped while trying to run, and the container fell on her legs. People came to her rescue and when they couldn't figure out how to take the very heavy container off her, they decided to cut off her legs with a cutlass. Experts say newborn babies should not use car seats for more than 30mins Found this old but very important, lifesaving piece of information. Read below... Scientists have advised that parents should not put their babies in car seats for more than 30mins to avoid the risk of suffocation. Doctors warn that very young babies whose neck muscles are not strong enough to stop their heads flopping forward could stop breathing. Manufactures say babies should not be left in the seats for more than two hours... but doctors are calling for that information to be updated to reflect expert medical findings with regards to very young babies. Dr Peter Fleming, a paediatrician at Bristol University, carried out research that shows newborn babies may be at risk in car seats. He said: 'If you can avoid a journey, it's probably better to do so, restricted to no more than half an hour or so. 'But try to avoid unnecessary car journeys with young babies.'
