Buhari’s chief of staff was also recently accused of taking money from Jide Omokore, a controversial businessman who was massively involved in corruption in the oil sector during the previous government. Other members of Buhari’s kitchen cabinet have been reportedly exposed as involving in serious cases of corruption but the country’s head has not acted on their cases, either.  Tukur Buratai, was accused of buying luxury homes in Dubai. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Abdulrahman Dambazau, allegedly bought houses for millions of dollars in Boston in the United States. Speaking earlier with the journalists in Daura, his hometown, President Buhari said his “anti-corruption war” was being implemented on the basis of justice and fairness.
