Nigerian woman arrested for hiding cocaine in her Bre@.$st(photos)







The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Nnaji Juliet Ijeoma at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos on Friday, October 21.

The 30-year-old was detained after white powdery substance tested positive for cocaine was found hidden inside her bra during the screening of South African Airways.

Ms Ijeoma, who tried to smuggle the drugs from Brazil, confessed that her sponsors promised her N1 million for successful delivery to Nigeria.


Mr Mitchell Ofoyeju, the NDLEA spokesman, reported that there was 535 grams of cocain in the woman’s bra. The suspecthails from Enugu state but currently lives in Brazil and has a national diploma in mass communication.

Ijeoma’s bra before search

She said: “I work as a hair stylist in Brazil where l reside for the past two years. I studied mass communication, but because of lack of job, I work as a hair stylist in Brazil. I was approached to smuggle cocaine to Nigeria and I accepted because of the money involved.

I needed money for my personal problem. The drug was prepared inside brassiere and given to me to put on. I did not know how it was packaged. My role was to smuggle the drug to Nigeria and collect the sum of N1 million.”

Commenting on the arrest Col. Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah (retd), the chief executive of NDLEA, said: “It is obvious that drug traffickers are getting desperate, but we are prepared to counter their operations through superior intelligence.

The discovery of the drug was a big surprise to the suspect because she felt her mode of concealment was full proof. l want drug traffickers to note that no matter how smart they conceal their drugs, we shall detect them.”

Ms Ijeoma would be taken to court for prosecution. Meanwhile, the agency launched an investigation to uncover the syndicate working with internationald drug trafficking organisations in Brazil.
